Nørreskoven is located on the island of Tåsinge, just south of Valdemar Castle, right down to the water’s edge where there is a fantastic view directly across the sea to Langeland. The woods have a fine network of footpaths.
The 400-year-old giant oak tree, the Ambrosius Oak, on Nørreskovvej, was named after the poet Ambrosius Stub, who was reputedly fond of sitting under the oak reading or writing during his period of residence at Valdemar Castle as a private tutor.
