Heading out towards Bobakkerne, lying like a giant embankment at the very beginning of Helnæs, an impressive, lush and colourful landscape lies before you. There are many fine hikes available along footpaths in the area which is grazed by livestock in summer.
Helnæs Made is a large salt-marsh area south of the village of Helnæs, offering almost 300 hectares of meadow and field, as well as a fine bathing beach. Helnæs Made is part of a habitat restoration project jointly carried out by Funen County and the Funen State Forest District to restore the appearance and bio-diversity of Helnæs Made to what it was around 1900.
