In North Langeland you can wander through the state forests, i.e. Vestre Stigtehave, Østre Stigtehave, Bræmlevænge and Mørkholm. The area offers a fine alternation between healthy, vibrant beech forests and coastal woodlands with old gnarled trees. Traces of Iron Age farmland and its remains of embankments and terraces are visible in the forests.
The area also offers fine waymarked hiking trails across luxuriant woodland meadows, through jungle-like thickets and along waterholes and ponds teeming with animal life.
