Archipelago Map

The Archipelago Map contains suggested excursions to natural habitats and interesting cultural sights, the Archipelago Trail, nature playgrounds as well as suggestions for appropriate, scenic kayaking routes. The map is available at the local tourist offices and several of the region’s tourist businesses.

Map 1  Faldsled - Faaborg - Fjællebroen  39 km

This part of the trail takes you from Faldsled in Helnæs Bay to Svanninge Hills, which is one of the most attractive nature areas on South Funen. From here you can take a side trip to Faaborg or you can continue to Fjællebroen.

Map 2  Fjællebroen - Egebjerg Bakker - Svendborg  39 km

From Fjællebroen the trail follows the coast to Syltemade, where it runs up in Egebjerg Hills with som spectacular views over the archipelago. At Svendborg the Trail runs along Svendborg Sund.

Map 3  Svendborg - Broholm - Lundeborg  39 km

At the Svendborg Sund bridge you can choose to continue to Lundeborg with a.o. a beautiful walk through Vejstrup Ådal and around Broholm before you arrive to the charming Lundeborg.

Map 4  Svendborg - Tåsinge - Rudkøbing  20 km

From Svendborg it also possible to walk across the beautiful island of Tåsinge to Siø and Rudkøbing, where you pass Valdemars Castle and Troense with its very nice atmosphere.

Map 5  Lohals - Tranekær - Stengade Strand  29 km

The trail begins in Lohals and runs along the west coast of Langeland. The trail traverses the island through Tranekær By village to Langeland’s somewhat flatter east coast flanked by the beautiful Stengade Strand beach.

Map 6  Stengade Strand - Rudkøbing - Henninge Nor  26 km

This part of the trail takes you from Stengade Strand across Langeland to Rudkøbing and further down south til Henninge Nor.

Map 7  Marstal - Ærøskøbing - Søby  36 km

The Archipelago Trail on Ærø takes you a long the island from Marstal through Ærøskøbing to Søby at north with many beautiful sceneries on the way.

Fairy-tale Track at Broholm

The Fairy-tale Track at Broholm opened in 2005. Broholm Manor offers a 2-kilometre-long path that leads through the areas of Hvileskoven and Kærlighedsparken. The track was developed by Jeanett Exner. This park was inspired by English country estates and has many canals and islets. Naturturisme has made a financial contribution to the establishment of this new excursion spot, the Fairy-Tale Track, together with Objective 2 funds and Broholm Manor. Exmoor Ponies in Klise Nor in South Langeland

A new pamphlet has been published in Danish, German and English about the wild ponies on South Langeland. The pamphlet is published by Naturturisme I/S together with the Funen State Forest District and is available at Klise Nor, at the tourist offices in Svendborg and Faaborg and the tourists offices on Ærø and Langeland.
