Naturturisme I/S is a publicly owned limited partnership whose owners are the nine municipalities of South Funen – Egebjerg, Faaborg, Gudme, Marstal, Rudkøbing, Svendborg, South Langeland, Tranekær and Ærøskøbing – as well as Funen County. The purpose of the partnership is to implement the Objective 2 project “Nature Tourism in the South Funen Archipelago”, a business development project intended to strengthen tourism by developing natural and cultural-historical activities and adventures in the South Funen Archipelago.


The primary activities of the project involve the establishment of the Archipelago Trail, the development of sea kayaking tourism, the expansion of areas open to the public, the preservation of coastal environments, as well as marketing and telling about the South Funen Archipelago. The project is a joint effort implemented together with tourism organisations, tourism enterprises and property owners, as well as various interest groups.
The management of the limited partnership consists of a board of directors to which a task group and a secretariat are affiliated.


The total budget of “Nature Tourism in the South Funen Archipelago” is DKK 15.9 million, which is funded by the nine municipalities, Funen County, the EU’s Objective 2 funds, the local tourism associations and Fyntour.
